About Us

At English on Foot, we believe in a comprehensive approach that embraces the newest methods and technologies to deliver lessons to you that use the best methods available. We embrace AI and are developing ways to use it to your maximum advantage.

We offer curricula with an emphasis on English for work or focused on English for everyday life. We adapt our curricula to your needs and context. We cover all levels from A1 to C2. We are developing our own AI conversation tool that will be available to our tutoring students at no additional charge.

Our founder and principal teacher is Matt Phillips, also knowns as Mateo. He is from Georgia in the USA and lives most of the time in Cali, Colombia. He holds a B.A. in English with a minor in Spanish, and has a certificate in teaching English (TESOL). He has a law degree and is adept at Business and Workplace English. He has taught online, and taught for two years in Seoul, South Korea.
